Re: New channel frquencies
WDWO is going from 18 to 22 WEYI in Saginaw in Phase 3 is going from 30 to 18, so WDWO should move off 18 by Friday, but can't move to soon as WNEM Bay City Phase 3 is going from 22 to 30. 22 won't be open for them until that change is made by WNEM. All 3 stations need to work together to avoid prob...

Re: 62.3 DABL ???
You guys do realize these networks pay the stations to run their programs don't you?
The network that pays the most gets the channel.
For the record, Decades doesn't pay very well.

Re: America's Rural Radio Stations Are Vanishing
When a small town station is used as a "rim shot" staton into a larger city, it's the same as moving it into that city. Those stations operate as if they're in the larger city and generally don't mention the community of license only in the legal ID. In fact they normally try give the illusion to th...

Re: 1250/99.3
Update from my post above: Today is Monday and both stations sound much better. Did an engineer show up for work today and increase the modulation or what? The AM sounds 100% better and sounds good here in Bay City and all along my trip to Flint area. The FM sounds louder and had a good signal almos...

Re: 1250/99.3
The 60dBu contour is the normal contour for coverage, especially inside buildings. On the map that's on the link, it's the light green contour. I understand that it can and would likely get farther out on car radios, but some of those contours on that map IMO are wishful thinking! Yesterday, I drove...

Re: 1250/99.3
Looking at the protected contour, it covers most of the City of Saginaw, but doesn't get into Saginaw Township or as far north as Carrollton. That is the contour area on the FCC map, but I just went out to my car and it is coming in loud and clear here in SW Bay City near the river. I Googled it and...

Re: Supertalk 1570, WWCK
I like the "pitiful" station when I'm in the Flint area. It's a radio station, who cares if it only has 300 FB followers? What difference does that make? Earlier this year their signal was poor at best. Coming south on I-75, it wasn't good until Clio exit, but last week, I started listening by Bay C...

Re: Wwj-tv off air
The stations have to power down when the tower guys are working up there. All three stations would have to power down during the work changing out the old antenna and replace the new antenna. It's my understanding that WTVS feeds the cable systems in Canada off air, not fiber like they feed the U.S....

Re: Wwj-tv off air
There is some tower work going on at that site. The old channel 62 antennas is coming off the top and the new WMYD antenna is going up in that spot. They're using a helicopter to do it. I believe they were to do the top work on Sunday, so they may be preparing for it. With the wind and rain this wee...

Re: WHNE needs your Help........
I know it may not happen, but I still want them to add Decades. Why tell the people on the Buzzboard what you want? Did you contact Decades and tell them? Maybe if several Buzzboard people contacted Decades requesting it, they my do something about adding it back on in Detroit. If no one contacts t...
