Re: Big changes in just released June ratings survey; WJR hits all-time record low
WDTK used to subscribe and drew a 0.1 or 0.2. Their flea powered translator may be the reason the numbers were that high. Does the station even have any sort of weekday local show? I haven’t listened in a few years. Hugh Hewitt is as boring as Bill Bennett was. Horrible choice for AM Drive. For wha...

Re: Big changes in just released June ratings survey; WJR hits all-time record low
Chiming in here regarding WJR. Could they be loosing ground to Salem's WDTK? I do hear a lot of "Detroit" callers on the Hugh Hewitt show which they carry live 6 to 9am. Hannity moved to WDTK and perhaps a lot of loyal WJR listeners went with him? I'd be interested to see Salem's numbers for this ma...

Gun Lake Road site of WMMQ/WVFN is the first that comes to mind. Pretty much all AM sites in Michigan seem to be under water this year due to the massive rains.

Re: Longest Tigers Affiliate?
WSGW celebrated 50 years of the tigers back in 2017. Other longtime affiliates that come to mind are WDBC Escanaba, WPHM Port Huron, and WNBY Newberry.

Re: 106.7 Detroit is identical to 105.7 Columbus
In my opinion, a format similar to "The Lake" in Cleveland (could still be branded as Wheelz) would be a great fit for 106.7... although it's not much different from the D.

WILZ is better than WGER on Midland's west side.

Re: WIOG is #1 in Saginaw-Bay City; WGER barely defeats Houghton Lake station
I can confirm WGER has a lousy signal on the west side of Midland. Many times I've driven near Saginaw and Eastman and the station will fade out briefly. As you keep heading north-west it drops off like a cliff.

What does this mean for Shep's WDFN morning show that's syndicated throughout the state?

Re: Blarney Stone Broadcasting and Roy Henderson
Speaking of WLDR, what is the disposition of WARD AM 750? Was this included in the LMA with Blarney Stone? Last I head WARD was off the air.

Re: Blarney Stone Broadcasting and Roy Henderson
This might be an odd tangent but is Blarney Stone Broadcasting related to The Blarney Stone Group that owns several gas stations / convenience stores in The Northern Lower Peninsula and the U.P? You're thinking Blarney Castle. No relation between Blarney Stone and Blarney Castle (Blarney Castle has...

Re: Predictions for 2019
93.1 WDRQ flips from GNASH to GNASH icon giving Detroit classic country on FM. 106.7 becomes the new home of iHeart/Premiere syndicated talkers (Rush, Beck, Hannity) and simulcasts with WDFN while keeping Shep in the morning. Rush leaves WJR (for WDFN/WDTW) and Cumulus goes local in the Noon to 3pm ...

Rimshots
The Saginaw-Bay City-Midland-Flint market seems to have a large amount of rimshot signals.
1) Why are there so many?
2) Who does the best job at attempting to cover the entire market?
In my opinion, the better ones are WCEN, WMJO, and WKQZ and the worst has to be WOWE.

Re: Grayling Rocker
The imaging is so piss-poor it's pathetic. If/when this KLT merger happens, I hope they will use KLT's voice guy. Also hope Blarney Stone doesn't gut KLT because I think it's on of the better sounding rock stations out there.
