Re: Layoffs

Comparing cancer to coronavirus is like comparing an apple to an old shoe -- many who die of cancer die months, or even years, after diagnosis, giving them ample time to be treated. I did NOT compare the two as a condition. You missed the point. Personally, "R", you refuse to even SEE the point you...

Comparing cancer to coronavirus is like comparing an apple to an old shoe -- many who die of cancer die months, or even years, after diagnosis, giving them ample time to be treated. Those who die of coronavirus die just days or a few weeks at most after diagnosis, hence the reason why they're rushin...

All my life I always referred to the Bay City / Saginaw / Midland area as the "Tri Cities" -- not going to stop now.

Re: Layoffs

This manufactured crisis is effecting a lot of people from their jobs, not just the entertainment industry. Manufactured crisis? People are dying... But I do agree this is going to have a major, long lasting impact on businesses, their workers and our economy for a long time. In Italy, one in ten p...

Re: “Taking the church to the people”

For what it's worth, when I first saw this thread, I thought it was about local churches aggressively using TV, YouTube and social media to broadcast its sermons in lieu of traditional in-person services during the coronavirus crisis, but apparently I was wrong.

Turn off all the news. That’s what I did. I’m not falling for their hype.
And if you need news, stick to the newspapers -- I've been generally avoiding TV news long before the coronavirus, and radio for as long as I can remember.

Quality Inn (Franklin, KY) – Provided by Comcast

242 – WKYU (PBS 24 Bowling Green)
Funny that Nashville's PBS channel is near the very top of the line-up, yet the public outlets that relate to Kentucky more are near the bottom.

Re: Misheard Song Lyrics

Madness' "Our House"

Correct:
Father wears his Sunday best
Mother's tired, she needs a rest
The kids are playing up downstairs

Wrong:
All the worst is Sunday's best
Mother's tied, she needs a rest
The kids are playing up downstairs

Re: Coronavirus is in Michigan

I've been in Porn Hub all day, they have mentioned nothing about this "Pandemic"...refreshing....carry on.... :P :P :P :P I confess to glancing at that too. The one scene with the full body suits got my attention first. Satire helps keep us sane. There was a report where residents of Italy would be...

If that goes through, Gray would own three of Toledo's network affiliates (11, 13 and 36).
...and would be forced to sell one or two of them to meet ownership limits.

They certainly are a better operation than the station in Houston or the dumpster fires in Chicago and Charlotte.
The Charlotte outlet, WJZY (and its sister, WMYT) have been sold to Nexstar, in exchange for WITI and KCPQ.

On March 2nd, KCPQ in Seattle and WITI in Milwaukee officially became Fox O&O stations.
In WITI's case, it's "again" -- Fox originally owned WITI from 1997 to 2007.
