Re: Jeopardy

The audience space for Jeopardy back in Hollywood is in much, much smaller quarters than this.

Re: Network television ratings IN THE TOILET

The Weakest Link was a decent show back in the day. Anne Robinson and her meanness was the biggest draw. The Original show was a big fad that declined later on in 2001, which was the year it debuted. I also liked the daytime syndicated version, which was hosted by George Gray (now Drew Carey's anno...

Re: "American Bandstand" (1975 - 1989) NOT on WJRT 12

Bandstand was practically foreign to me, due to the fact that the local ABC affiliates where I have lived, including WJRT, bumped it for something else. I did not get to see Bandstand other than on anniversary specials or the VH1 repeats. By the way, Bandstand left ABC in 1987 -- it was in syndicati...

Bell's acting more corporate every day, by getting rid of heritage branding. Pretty soon, all their stations will have the same branding for each format.

Re: 105.5 fm Ave Maria Radio

This translator will not have much coverage on 105.5. There is the CBC French station in Windsor to the Southeast, and a K-Love translator in Rochester Hills to the Northeast. The 105.5 translator indeed has a weak signal. Zero reception in my locale indoors; I'm probably 8 miles from the TX site. ...

Re: What happened to channel 38?

Here's a list of stations that DTV America owned. Some of these stations would later be "sold" to HC2 Holdings, which was a finance company that operated DTV America as a front (I think). All of these stations carried only religious or subchannel networks.

Re: What happened to channel 38?

I see that the owner was DTV America LLC. They surrendered all of those licenses, since, if they had sold the licenses, those LPTV stations could be offering programming that would be competing with private circuit viewing. And of course, as the FCC isn't currently issuing new licenses for TV stati...

It's his way of venting anger towards his employer, which apparently makes WJM-TV in "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" seem more like the BBC.

Satellite feed issues? Satellite Eclipse? (When a satellite becomes aligned with the sun, natural RF noise from the sun overwhelms the return signal coming from the satellite). Back in October, it could be possible, as solar transit issues usually occur in March and October when the sun and the sat...

Re: Opinion disguised as news

These one-sided opinion articles need to be removed from the news tab of our website and a more direct disclaimer needs to be put at the top of each article like: "The following opinions of NBC 25 owner Armstrong Williams do not reflect the independent work of local journalists." Will those changes...

Interesting that Virgin 93.9's website homepage has a big Value City Furniture ad at the top, advertising its Michigan Stores, but no mention of any Canadian businesses. I guess CANCON only applies to programming content! :rollin I think that's the web ad service making that placement, based on whe...

But, hey, maybe 9 signals will be enough. We'll see. You forgot about 100.7 WITL for country. ;) Don't forget 630 CFCO on ...

Apparently, the change excludes 580 -- just the FMs:
