Re: Sanford 1 year later
I watched 12's special later and it was horrible. Granted, live T.V. is more challenging, but the show was awful. I guess walking and chewing gum at the same time is very difficult for some.

Re: Dam failures
Good Morning America led their broadcast this morning with coverage of the flooding. CNN did an extended piece too. 7 and 4, aren't they northern Michigan, like Traverse City area? Good for them, shame on TV 5, 12 and 25.

Re: Dam failures
Local TV gets a big fat "F" for its coverage -- or monumental lack of -- of the dam/bridge failures and evacuations last night. They break into programming to blubber on endlessly about tornado warnings and watches, but totally dropped the ball on this one. Pathetic.

Re: Owosso barber
That's only valid if you use only the deaths that were also confirmed "Covid-positive" before death. Otherwise, you have to use the total number of cases, which we all know is much greater than just the confirmed cases. Based on all the studies around the country, the actual cases at 10-50x what th...

Re: Owosso barber
R. Bebel: 81,000 divided by the number of 330,000,000 people in America equals.......... 0.002454% Death Rate Nice try. Chew on this: 81,650 divided by the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in America -- 1,358,000 -- 0.060481% Death Rate. That's nearly six times higher than seasonal flu. No matter ...

Re: Mateen Cleaves not guilty of sexual assault
False accusations? A not guilty verdict doesn't translate into false accusations. If he wants to sue anyone it should be the prosecutor, and good luck with that.

That would really be stupid and only keep it in the news.

Re: They believe you’re stupid
Another tip for those "stupid" people. Avoid using those thin white trash bags if you're going to be set at the curb. Seagulls and crows love them. I've been setting trash out for many, many years and noticed those birds tend to peck open the white bags to get at the trash inside. Don't see this nea...

Re: They believe you’re stupid
Actually, in my neighborhood, there are "stupid" people who need to learn how to put trash in a recycle bin. Too often many of my neighbors overload their open bins and if it's windy out items are blown out and end up in the road or neighboring yards, mine included.

Re: March Madness
Maybe TV-5 didn't have money in the budget to send a reporter(s) to Chicago. Looking at the on-air talent the station has and all the different open positions they have posted on job websites it seems the station isn't doing all that well financially.

Boyd Leaving
TV-5 posted on its website today that Collette Boyd is leaving the station Feb. 28. Stated reason is to spend more time with her family. Umm. Anyone know more on that?

Re: Worst Cartoon You Can Remember Growing Up (Or In General)
Wow, there were a lot of crummy cartoons when I was growing up in the 1960s, but somehow -- weed -- many of them "improved" by my teenage years. Speed Racer was a particular favorite with a group I hung out with it. We'd get together on occasion and watch in a friend's basement after school and howl...

Re: Hypocrite! Step down!
The video is proof-positive that his written and spoken apologies were just a self-serving effort to save his own neck. In other words, he not put the public at great risk by driving that day, he is also a liar. He is an embarrassment, not only to the Midland community but to all duty-bound honorabl...
