Re: Ron Cameron
Bobbers & Momo, excellent posts. keep up the great work you do here. There could be Pulitzer Awards in your futures. (Or is it Pewlitsur? I’m sure RC will advise me on that.). Or maybe a Noble Prize for Mockery. Those will come as surely as Scoop’s future Marconi & Peabody Awards.

Re: Love Is The Drug
Paul Carrack played keyboards for Roxy Music around 1980, (the Flesh And Blood album.) He also has a credit on their final album, 1982's Avalon, (Track 8 / To Turn You On.) I saw Roxy Music at Cobo during the Avalon tour. I was 15 and it was one of the coolest things I've seen in my life. Weirdly e...

Re: Love Is The Drug
Here are some more Roxy Music connections. Roxy Music's Avalon tour had three Backup Singers, Michelle Cobbs, Fonzi Thornton, and Tawatha Agee. Fonzi Thornton was one of the singers for Chic. Tawatha Agee did the vocals for the Mtume's Juicy Fruit which was released in May of1983. This was the same...

Both Ends Burning is another song from the Siren LP that got some airplay. The best songs, Sentimental Fool and End Of The Line got rare play on the FM stations.

Re: Love Is The Drug
From what my ears have heard over the too numerous decades, LITD is the most played Roxy Music song on the radio. It may have gotten some 40 play as it did come out during the disco era.

Re: Limbaugh Has Died
I had comments about Limbaugh deleted or "deactivated" in the comment sections on WDIV's website, message telling me "your comment violates our terms of service, blah blah blah", yet many comments celebrating his death and personal attacks on Limbaugh were allowed to post.....funny how that works.....

Re: Limbaugh Has Died
I saw Limbaugh at the Masonic Auditorium in early 1990. Towards the end of the show, this guy stomps out on stage in a very dramatic manner, and then we found out that Mark Scott was going to return to WXYT. According to the Free Press of 2/24/90, Scott returned to the 9-12 slot, followed by Rush f...

Re: Limbaugh Has Died
I checked the websites of the News and Free Press to see how they covered it. The News didn't have a comment section, but the Free Press did. Many of the comments on the Free Press blatantly violated their guidelines for commenting: "While it's OK to disagree with someone's ideas; personal attacks,...

Re: Ron Cameron
Got busy with work stuff, I had it on but didn’t listen. I did hear the opening Blake Griffin slam. That is basically his show open Any quests tomorrow??? Ron said there might be a guest tomorrow, if he has time this afternoon to try to dig one up. Figuring on the average age of RC’s guests, he may...

Re: Phil Spector
The majestic Christmas album was released the morning of 11/22/63. A lot happened on that day Let's see, C.S. Lewis died, Aldous Huxley died, the Beatles released their second British album (With the Beatles)...all overshadowed by an event in Dallas, Texas. [/ You left out the big disaster that too...
