Not only does the Weather Channel try to get a ratings bump like they do for hurricanes by naming winter storms they also try to pick dumb names that are not common to help.It's all about ratings and eyeballs.

I think the problem is that all the local wx forecasters get their info from the NWS and just repeat it to their listeners. If one of them would just look at a radar and see for themselves we might get a better and more accurate forecast. Might finally be starting to drizzle now about 3PM on Wed. ne...

I think we all know which way our out of country scribe thinks about our politics, he seems to be an expert on everything. While I agree on the Networks and their slanted news stories I agree that ABC is the worst at doing this. This might explain why the ratings are down for some of these channels....

Don't know about Ozzie but I heard this morning that Darrin Elliott is leaving and that Murphy is coming back.

I use my Grandfathers method, he'd hang a 12 inch piece of rope on a tree in the backyard, he would check it and if it was wet it was raining, if it was cold it was freezing, if was dry it was sunny and if it was gone it was windy.

While I agree on most of these comments on this thread i have to feel sorry for Lue having to put up with that clown Charley on the weekends. I hear her make comments to him when he messes up but he just lets it pass. He has to be the biggest attention whore on TV, he ask's some of the dumbest quest...
