Is Big Oil Punishing Blue Counties in Michigan?
If you look at Michigangasprices.com, you will see that the lowest prices appear in solidly red areas. Caro is $4.50 and below per gallon. Gaylord is hovering around $4.50 as of this post. Fremont is below $4.40! Meanwhile, the lowest prices in metro Detroit are $4.60-4.70 a gallon in dead red Macomb County along the 23 Mile corridor.

Remember that “2000 Mules” was concocted by a circus of elephants.
The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.
Audacity sucks.

I spent the weekend in Flushing and Swartz Creek. Gas prices in Genesee County were about 10-15 cents higher than they are downriver. 5.03 at the Valero station in Flushing.

Often, I've noticed the cheapest gas prices in Metro Detroit occur in & around Dearborn and the west side of Detroit proper.
Southfield, Oak Park, Beverly Hills and Bloomfield Hills seem to be more expensive than everywhere else, and it's been that way for years.
The price differential between the Kroger station on E. 12 Mile in Royal Oak versus the one on Greenfield in Oak Park (which is the pricy one) is often absurd. Often, on the same day, the Royal Oak Kroger will be $0.30 a gallon cheaper.
Sterling Heights, Utica, Roseville, and Fraser tend to be on the cheaper side, and it's been that way for many years (long before Macomb County flipped red). Waterford is another place where gas tends to be cheaper than the vast majority of Metro Detroit communities.
Bank of America Visa card holders can go to the "deals" page and download a 10% off cash back rewards coupon good at all Exxon and Mobil stations (good for one time use, and you must pay with your B of A credit card, of course). BP has run some really promotions with American Express in the past, too, although none are running at the moment.

Did you look at Michigan prices as a whole? Take metro Detroit in context of $4.60+ and then look at that list.MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Tue Jul 05, 2022 6:53 amOften, I've noticed the cheapest gas prices in Metro Detroit occur in & around Dearborn and the west side of Detroit proper.

Many stations in western Michigan get their fuel from refineries in NW Indiana as opposed to Marathon's refinery in Detroit. That sometimes causes price differences.

You sound like my dad. Claims he is “independent” but always votes for Republicans statewide and for US Senate and House. Voting for a random Ann Arbor libertarian every couple years doesn’t make you independent.Matt wrote: ↑Wed Jul 06, 2022 11:05 pmI don't have a party.MotorCityRadioFreak wrote: ↑Wed Jul 06, 2022 10:30 pmSays the dude whose party is triggered by Disney, the Teletubbies, M&M’s, Sesame Street, Coke, Oreos, Mr Potato Head, Kohl’s, the NFL, NBA, MLB, Netflix, and the list goes on and on….
