Seeing the story now. I think it's a publicity stunt.

What a goofy story. Cannot believe 7 gave it any air time, let alone an in-depth report.

Rob Graham is suing Mojo, and Graham's lawyer is currently performing discovery. Graham came off looking like a buffoon, IMO. That's putting it mildly.

Long story short: he's suing Mojo because Mojo busted his balls on the air for repeatedly calling in sick due to hay fever-like symptoms. That's the gist of it anyway. I missed about the first 30 seconds of the story.

Graham's complaint alleges harassment and violation of federal statutes regarding medical leave, confidentiality of medical history, blah, blah, blah. The whole suit is completely frivolous, in my view. Sounds like a total case of sour grapes and perhaps inability to find new employment.

I suffer from seasonal allergies; I do not think I ever missed a day of school or work because of it.

Looks like Rob the Web guy is suing Mojo.

From Wxyz.com:

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. (WXYZ) - He is one of Detroit's most well-known personalities but now he may be in some hot water for an on-air incident, and a letter obtained exclusively by Action News spells out the potential legal trouble for the morning show host.

A letter, sent to Thomas Carballo, better known as "Mojo" from the Mojo in the Morning show on 95.5,
informs him that former cast member, "Rob the Web Guy" plans to file a lawsuit against "Mojo" and Clear Channel which owns the radio station.

"We were friends," says Rob Graham, who was "Rob the Web Guy." "It's sad when a friend pulls a sneak attack on you."

Graham walked out of the studio during a show back in October.

The on-air talk began with why Rob had missed a meeting the day before - listeners then called in guesses - but Rob did not find it humorous and it quickly turned into a showdown between the two co-workers.

"I was humiliated, I was upset, I felt betrayed," Graham told 7.

Graham's attorney, Jennifer Lord, accuses "Mojo" of violating HIPPA laws by revealing Rob's medical information on-air, and "Mojo" is also accused of pressuring Rob to post copyrighted materials on the Mojo in the Morning website.

Lord says it all amounts to workplace bullying.

"He crossed a critical line," Lord says about "Mojo." "An employer cannot go on the air and talk about its employees private medical conditions."

Mojo did not return a call from 7 Action News and his producer referred us to the station's general manager.

"We do not comment on personnel matters," said Til Levesque, President of Clear Channel Media and Entertainment Detroit, in an email.

But on the air that day "Mojo" said he was upset that Rob did not tell him why he was absent the day before, although Rob did tell the show's producer.

As a member of the cast, Rob had no problem taking part in wild stunts like dressing up as Britney Spears or going shirtless for the bod pod, but he felt the personal attacks that October morning amounted to an ambush and a situation that compelled him to resign.

The letter sent to "Mojo" orders him not to delete or alter any emails to and from Rob and he is not to erase any of the audio recording of the show.

The telling line is "Rob the Web Guy" plans to file a lawsuit" . it's a stunt and they suckered circle 7 into it.

That would be precious if it was all a publicity stunt. Now that I review the facts, it seems a little fishy. Channel 7 really should've waited until an actual lawsuit was filed before doing the story. Any asshole can send anyone a letter for "discovery." Notice he didn't get an actual court of law involved. That would entail legal ramifications if a fraud were discovered.

Making the matter even more hilarious is the predictable way 7 played the whole thing up as an exclusive. New at 6: we've been exclusively fed some bullshit by a couple of radio jocks! Love it!

Mojo and crew are ratings whores. Of course this is a publicity stunt and should be treated as such by us. Ignored.

Don't make important decisions when you are angry.

Don't think this is a stunt, but I also don't know if Rob or his attorney will be able to pursue it either. It will rely on the court's interpretation of HIPPA. If Mojo talked about it this morning then it would smell like a stunt, if they didn't mention it then it would seem like CC's lawyers told them not to. Didn't listen to that show this morning.

Interesting situation and I think, if the suit is filed/real, it really all depends on what was said on air and what sort of contract Graham. If Graham volunteered the info on air, he more than likely has no case.

And this is not new territory. Fans of Stern probably remember JD and the anxiety, missing work, etc. all discussed on air.

I guess this could be considered publicity for Mojo but, I do not see what this Graham guy would ever gain out of filing a suit of this nature/going public with this as a stunt. Graham has now decreased his likelihood of finding employment in the business exponentially. Employers do not like suit-happy people.

This couldn't be more "non meritorious" if it tried.

Agreed, jry.

It's either a stunt, or Graham is the biggest tool on the face of the earth.
