I just heard about some more nanny-state crap going on in Minnesota.....

I just heard Jesse Ventura talking about going to Minnesota for the summer. He said he wanted to practice paddle-surfing on his lake this summer. So he went to buy a surfboard there and Minnesota now requires you to license it!

WTF????

And you're also required to wear a life jacket!

He wondered what would happen if they did that in California. He said you'd be laughed off the beach if you tried to surf with a lifejacket on there! A place where you can get 10-foot waves! Not in Minnesota where the biggest waves are barely 2 feet, and that's only when a big pontoon boat goes by! He also wondered how you're gonna license and register a surfboard if they have no serial numbers on them????

He also said that up there anything that's longer than 9 and a half feet long must be licensed. He said you could just take a couple of 2 by 4's and build a raft and if it's longer than that you have to get it registered and licensed!
