Which one?
You know. The one where the Republican's had to fight the Democrats to get them to free their slaves.

New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

I've seen him go round on this one with Neckbeard years and years ago. I mean, what was called Republican TWENTY years ago isn't the same as Republican today.

I've heard that talking point before. Didn't work then, doesn't work now.

All you need to know about the stupid fuck Republicans is they lost with Trump in 2020. Had a sure Senate majority and a House landslide in 2022, but fucked that up too because of Trump supported candidates. And now they will elect him to run in 2024. Against an old senile Democrat....and they will get clobbered. This is the GOP party today.

The national GOP isn’t in much better shape than the Michigan edition.

I'm aware there are a lot of rumors being tossed out about the nature of the $30K payment to a doorman, but anything remotely verifiable other than the NYAG having the actual receipts? Presumably is wasn't a Christmas gratuity, cash for a beer run or tattling because Donnie broke curfew, so what could be worth $30K between Trump and a doorman?

Why does it really matter? It's not much different than giving a homeless guy $1 to have him stop pestering you.

Buying silence and giving a guy a dollar so he’ll stop bugging you are different. One is trying to cover something up and is potentially illegal if you’re stupid and cook books to come up with it and the other is just giving a guy a dollar with no strings attached.

Every single one of the 34 allegations of wrongdoing are events that are alleged to have taken place in 2017. Trump had already been elected. So is it fair to assume that the secondary crime was NOT one of advancing his presidential campaign in violation of campaign finance laws? In order to argue advancement of his 2016 presidential campaign, there would have to be an allegation somewhere that Trump did something illegal in 2016 before he was elected. Or are they going to try to tie it to his 2020 re-election campaign?
