Playing for pride and a trophy - both have punched their ticket to the tournament.

NCAA REGIONAL IN ST. LOUIS.

Big Ten conference and tournament champion MSU had WMU in the first round and then the winner of North Dakota/UM if we win.

Seems like the toughest regional.

Regionals should go back to being on campus OR they should be at a more centrally located arena. For example, this region makes more sense to be in GR.

Agreed. No one in St. Louis gives two rips about collegiate hockey.

Here's what I don't get. Four regionals, and 4 BT teams made it. Why not place 1 in each region? If we both win our openers, is it right that MSU plays UM for the SIXTH time this year for a FF spot?

The regionals for this tournament are weirdly located. Northeast Regional is in Springfield, MA; East Regional is in Providence; West Regional in Sioux Falls; Midwest in St. Louis.

The suburban St. Louis facility's seating capacity is smaller than the friggin' IMA Sports Arena (Dort Financial Center) in Flint!

I think even the ice arena in Fraser seats more patrons.

I think morons are making site selection decisions for the NCAA.

Actually, that’s Lindenwood University’s home rink. They are the hosts. Welcome to D1 hockey, you can host a regional between 4 teams with H*** fan bases in your 2,500 seat rink. Ugh.

Apparently cities bid to host the regionals, so who knows what the initial applications were like.

The NCAA said it likes to host regionals in a Metro area that is set to host the Frozen Four the following year.

Regardless, choosing a ~2,500 seat venue for a regional is beyond idiotic.

The Frozen Four in 2025 will be played at the Enterprise Center, the home of the St. Louis Blues.
