The difference in the game literally ended up being Detroit's defense was marginally better in the red zone than was the Rams'.

The decision of the game (which I was torn on at the time) was Detroit accepting the late holding penalty instead of forcing the 52-yard field goal attempt.

I love the fact Detroit is advancing and Dallas is toast!

There’s something different than usual about all this I think. Maybe the four horseman are out there somewhere.

All that bitching and whing...deservedly.. about the horrible call in Dallas, and things wind up turning out perfectly for the Lions

Will Green Bay stay hot? That team was phenomenal in Dallas today, but part of me thinks Dallas took them for granted. Dallas looked lazy.

That Green Bay - San Fran contest should be sensational.

Next week's game already scheduled - 3 PM Sunday, at home vs TB or Philly, on NBC (again).

Just from a TV network perspective, local CBS and Fox affiliates can't be pleased that NBC gets both games.

With CBS 62's news operation lacking a sports department, it is sweet justice they don't get the privilege of airing a Lions playoff game.

Of course, CBS *does* get the Super Bowl this year. (Hmmmmm.)

With my home internet still down (the downed cable wire outside my house is supposed to be fixed by late afternoon today), it was great having the game on WDIV. Super strong signal from them at my house.

I thought McVay made some poor decisions last night and was somewhat surprised to see him punt while trailing late in the fourth while having the ball in Lions territory.

Some gurus are stating McVay made a terrible decision.

I see everyone is saying they should have went for it there, but I don't see anybody suggesting a field goal attempt. Would have been a 61 yard field goal. Maher has a career long of 62.

Rams had some close calls on ~30 yard FG attempts last night. Their FG kicking game is among the worst in the league.

FWIW, lookahead lines are Lions -6 against TB and -2.5 against Philly.

I think I wanted TB, but Philly dropped right off. There was talk of them taking the 1 seed but they blew it. We know we can handle TB so I'm gonna stick with them.

Idk. Maybe it's just me but I think I see a way to at least the NFC championship game.

We could easily win next week and get there. My only problem is that Frisco and Green Bay are no slouches and the defense must play better.
