Former Fleetwood Mac Guitarist Bob Welch has died of a self inflicted gunshot wound. He also had two solo hits Ebony Eyes, and Sentimental Lady. I'm currently listening to Bare Trees, (just ended.)

I've always thought that this was his finest hour:

Bob Welch last album was "His Fleetwood Mac Years And Beyond" (Part 2) back in late 2006. NOT the 1999 release "Bob Looks At Doo Wop". His 1981 self-titled & 1983 "Eye Contact" (both which he recorded for RCA Victor) will be reissued on Wounded Bird CD's this Tuesday.

Another great song the WCSX never plays, (well except maybe on over easy.)

I remember liking "Hot Love, Cold World" and "Precious Love". Too bad Fleetwood Mac stiffed him for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Yeah, why did they do that? But a lot of the FM gang were on Welch's solo lp's. Didn't MicK even manage him for awhile?

Welch was in the process of suing Fleetwood Mac for royalties as he was key to keeping the group going after the initial British version split-up, up until Stevie/Lindsay joined the group, so Welch got stiffed during the RNR Hall of Fame as punishment, which is political backstabbing BS at it's worst; and now the poor guy is gone from lead poisoning.
