Dead Kennedy's... Awesome stuff. Funny, I was on shuffle today and the Dead Milkmen came on just as an old 80's Camaro buzzed by me. Guy driving looked like Todd from Beavis and Butt-head. What about Pansy Division?

Neckbeard:.. scary here.. I remember when these bands were still active. Lots of my friends did not get the dead Kennedy's or especially the Dead Milkmen.. I loved them.

bitchin' camero is one of the most observant songs I've ever heard as you noted above.. 25+ years later, it is still true.

and..

right wing pigeons from outer space, sent here to destroy the human race..
they don't give a damn about you and me..

Bubble Puppy

Bubble Puppy may be a silly name, but it has literay cred. It comes from the name of a toy in the Novel Brave New World, (the title Brave New World Comes from a line in Shakespeare's The Tempest.)
It's kind of like Uriah Heep which comes from David Copperfield.

(I have an English degree I have to use it somewhere.)

(Hot Smoke And Sassafrass is another cool song WCSX never seemed to play.)

These are band names I found on another website. They had several funny ones and many really bad ones, but these are the clean ones, but still may be politically incorrect. And no, I won't post there link. You'll just have to google "weird band names".

A Cat Born In An Oven Isn't a Cake
Afghanistan Banana Stand
Brady Bunch Lawnmower Massacre
Cap'n Crunch and the Cereal Killers
Crappy the Clown and the Punch Drunk Monkies
The Luminous Toilet Bowls

I read somewhere a long time ago that before The Buthole Surfers became the Buthole Surfers they would use a different name for each gig. These are the two names I remember:

The Unalienable Right To Eat Fred Astair's A**hole
Ed Asner Is Gay

My favorite -- The Guano Apes. :hat

(Actually had a decent single that received a lot of active rock & alternative rock airplay around 1999.)

TC Talks, those are some of the most disturbing LP covers of all time; when Hee Haw's LuLu is the least scary, that's bad. I'm still trying to figure out how the heck Richard Miller plays the organ (or drives a bus)?

Best band name has to be the "Strawberry Alarm Clock", and worst taste (band name) has to be the Dead Kennedys (not necessarily the music, but the band's name).

"Insane Clown Posse" was permanantly banned from Toledo after they destroyed Summit Street with thousands of gallons of sticky soda pop; thier followers were as scary as their name would imply.
