Here is an interesting article.

Cumulus is rumored to be offering current employees a pay-cut. Half their regular pay!

Haha... It's not Daddy Dickie's radio stations anymore!!! When the time is right, the Dickies will show McVay just how it feels to land on his ass when the door hits it on the way out... If ANY radio group lacks job security, it's Cume-U-Less. It's karma coming back around IMO.

Sad that radio is this screwed up now.

At this point, if I were FCC Chair, I'd revoke every single license, AM and FM, and review every one of them with crime scene scrutiny before issuing a new license. I'd send not just inspectors, but a couple of investigators to see just what the market says about the stations. Goodbye to 99% of the translators, bird-feed noisemakers and vaporware stations like WSBX. It would be back to 3 stations per market, too. If you can't make it with 3 signals, sell out and go buy Taco Bells instead. And if it's not LEGITIMATELY serving it's market's public interest, bye-bye. Maybe that's what radio needs right now.

This is EXACTLY what the FCC needs to do..unfortunately, it won't happen, tho. Something about the FCC being "on the take" comes to mind. I give the Dickey's 3 years or less before they implode. Hate mongers!

Ed, you hit the nail directly on the head. Ownership rules through the FCC need to be re-evaluated. What happened to "serving the public's interest?" Oh wait...DE-Regulation Act. Power and greed took off at that point. Now an industry has been destroyed!
