Earlier this summer I heard WYTE 106.5 out of Marshfield, WI on M-55 between M-37 and Cadillac.

This afternoon around 5pm I caught Mix 98.1 but no calls or COL. In the meantime WGRD was getting trampled by something sounding like a news station... this was just east of Richland in Kalamazoo County (Gull Lake). Any ideas?

Mix 98-1 = WDFM Defiance, Ohio.

News on 97.9? Could have been WGNR Anderson, IN, which is religious.

I went down to Grand Haven yesterday. While there, quite a few Chicago and Milwaukee stations stopped the scan (95.5, 97.1, 98.7, 99.1, 99.5, 100.3, 100.7, 102.7, 103.5, 104.3, 105.1, 106.7, 107.5)

A few years ago, I picked up KZPK (98.9) out of St. Cloud, MN and KDRB (100.3) out of Des Moines, IA in Manistee, MI.

My guess would be WNCI (Adult Top 40) from Columbus, OH. They were likely in all-news mode given the devastation from the derecho that rolled through the day before. Hundreds of thousands without power there.

The Cleveland stations were booming in about 3:30 am or so on the way home last night. I can't believe how easy it is to pull in Q104, right next to WOMC. One in particular that blows me away is 97.7 out of Sandusky, MI. One evening I had the pleasure of hearing the Tigers there and on 97.1, with a delay of about 3-5 seconds, I believe. And it wouldn't be a normal summer DX if I didn't pull in The Edge out of Lansing. I wonder why that one is so easy...no I-BOC on 93.9 and 94.3 is a Canadian station...that's about the only logical reason I can come up with.

Mega Hertz: what equipment are you listening on: stock or custom car radio or home setup?

I still kick myself everyday of the week for giving away my 1971 Lafayette tuner with outboard AM ferrite antenna and flywheel FM tuning with center tuning meter....sigh....

My apologies, WOHO. This is on an everyday Pioneer car stereo. Although it is not uncommon to pick some up on my home stereo.

what about WPWX 92.3, that station is there almost every summer night in west michigan.

I used to occasionally, until WBNZ moved to 92.3 and upgraded to 50kW.

A surprising catch is WXER's 250W low-power translator on 96.1 (which happens often during the summer)

Another interesting catch was WJNR (101.5) out of Iron Mountain along with local WMTE (the radio I caught this on has 0.1mhz separation). WGLQ (97.1), WOBE (100.7), and WYKX (104.7) are common UP stations here.

The most interesting thing is the fact that my mother has an analog tuner. Her alarm is set to 100kW blowtorch WTCM (103.5). If the dial was shifted over a little bit, that radio has received WOGB (103.1), WFXD (103.3), WXSS (103.7), and WRLU (104.1)

Also, WOOD-FM is very hard to receive in Manistee despite being 50kW and about 70 miles away. A little Class A peashooter (WLGE) out of the Door Peninsula is heard often on 106.9.

Last night even the weaker Toledo stations such as 97.3 and 93.5 WRQN came in. The weather radio band was also full of broadcasts that I don't normally hear. I should try the TV next.
