Re: Michigan Jobs are Boring

I tend to agree. Both my kids left the state because neither is interested in computer or tech jobs, and their skills reach beyond being a tactician. CS jobs in Michigan pay about 2/3's of what is available elsewhere. That might be true, however Cost of living in Michigan is well below that of Cali...

Re: The Bias of Alito

So according to this I'll constructed piece, we should forgo developing ethics because we haven't had them for centuries? A SCOTUS justice creates a conflict by displaying this at his home, period. Maybe the WSJ option folks will advocate that slavery is a traditional that shouldn't be scrutinized e...

The Bias of Alito

Does Alito need to recuse himself from Trump hearings in front the Supreme Court? This chump is our last bastion of upholding the constitution? His demonstrated arrogance suggests the Chief Justice may need to get involved. The revelation that an upside-down American flag, a symbol adopted to contes...

As I recall, the original-original plan (late 1950s) was to have the 375 expressway connect to the US10 expressway (the Lodge) on Jefferson, as an expressway.
That's a pretty stupid plan. It would have destroyed downtown.

The prosecution has not finished presenting its case, let's see how it goes... you were pretty quiet last week when Stormy was on the stand.

Re: Pro-Palestinian terrorist protesters take over Columbia University building

This is criminal activity from the anti-Semites. https://publicaffairs.vpcomm.umich.edu/key-issues/incidents-at-regents-residences/ The protesters should have had open carry guns and called it a second amendment rally. And last time I checked, Jewish Voice for Peace aren't antisemitics. Could it be...

Duggan wants to put more hotels near Ford Field; that's what this is primarily about, I suspect. He gets to use state and federal tax monies for his pet project. The city has minimal to no skin in the game. Every project of this magnitude is funded by the feds, they're pulling up an Interstate. Thi...

Not an unbiased source, but interesting commentary: https://twitter.com/BarbMcQuade/status/1791140571710418963?t=CEIq0uSew5k0Uw2qGvDLgw&s=19 I'd trust McQuade over the view or Ms. Cooper. ...Prosecution spent the entire case preparing for this moment by pre-corroborating his testimony with document...

Re: I-375 deconstruction is crony capitalism in action

Looking at this map, removing these "Walls" from the city, I think it will fuel growth in 3 directions in a similar way that growth has occurred up Woodward Ave. From what I read, the urban planners are pretty shrewd to accomplish the goals from removing these roads. All the neighborhoods from Downt...

Re: More stupidity from Dana Nessel

It’s a finite resource. We WILL RUN OUT in the next 100 years or so. Obsolescence will happen whether you approve or not. If we all believed that "peak oil" BS in the 70's we'd have been out of oil and gas a couple decades ago! What do you think Fracking is? It is getting the oil out of increasingl...
