.....exactly what I suspect. She didn't air this dirty laundry without vetting it first, did she?
I assume the doctor was contacted.
It would be so easy to catfish the doctor that it's not funny.
So, what is the rest of the story?

.
That WMBN Automation machine.... Probably no longer in the lobby. Did you work there when Ken remained the voice of that station from beyond the grave?
Sorry, TC, did not see your question until now. Yes, Ken was the voice at that time. But the AM DJs did 2 PSAs and weather each ...

Re: Mike and Jon gone from WHMI
Wow. After I just praised the station for its quality localness. What a sucky thing for management to do.
But high praise for Mike! Hopefully, you two will land in a much better place.

That's damn good writing, too. Did not expect that from a little weekly. Kudos to the ER News.

I, too, remember "Hoppy" at WFMK in the late '80s. During my short time as overnight jock, he was often in when I was just getting off my shift at 6 a.m. Nobody else like that anywhere. Great guy.

Re: 93.5 Howell
Looking at the station bios, they certainly have some talented people working there. I had the privilege of interviewing for the PD job at WHMI in the mid-'90s. I didn't get it (wish I had) but came away impressed with the station back then. Good to see local radio still being done the right way. To...

Re: Real Oldies / WGVU is going away in January
BTW, LP 94.9 in Grand Haven runs a fairly good oldies format, playlist-wise. I'm not sure what service it is coming from. However, the audio remains horrific. It sounds out of phase at times.

Re: Real Oldies / WGVU is going away in January
TC Talks, your memory is a little shady. WKBZ 850 in the early '90s was far from a "throwaway." It was a viable commercial property until the mid-90s when GVSU assumed ownership and absolutely destroyed its commercial viability. It was pathetic. But until then, under Dave Lorenz's leadership, the 85...

I believe Ranger Bob was purged from iHateradio a year or so ago, when iHate had one of their big purges, and is doing all freelance now.

Re: Monica Harris Retires from Radio
I will second that, Calvert. I only worked with Monica briefly at the New95FM in the late '80s (gosh, we were so young then!), but she was definitely a great talent and a great person. Can't say everyone I crossed paths with have/had both those attributes.

Don't lose any sleep over it, Mega Hertz. In 2030, do you really think OTA radio broadcasting will still exist? I don't.

House looks a whole lot better these days. Trish did some remodeling since, well, 100 Strings and Percy Faith were gracing 96.3.
