Re: LPTVs On The Air Testing
W28EJ and W30DQ are now testing and their IDs added, but although the COL is Charles, MI, it says Sault Set. Marie on the screen. Anyone know when the Elmhurst channels will be on from the WMKC tower? They were delayed earlier this spring because of getting heavy cement trucks on the roads in that ...

Re: LPTVs On The Air Testing
I agree as well. Evoca TV has paired up LPTVs in their other markets to provide the (encrypted) ATSC 3.0 channels, from what I've read.

Michiguide station listings was a great resource back in the day. ... I happened to meander during my web browsing to Michiguide.com, and have found that it's gone for good. Re: UHF TV Reception in Northern Leelanau County
...I have seen many old installations in northern Leelanau County that appear to have a CH-9 monoband yagi antenna on a tower of 30-feet or higher, pointed about 180 to 190-degrees, and I infer at those locations there were CH-9 signals obtained. But those sites were generally on higher terrain loc...

Re: Pirate on 87.9 Grand Rapids
Hi All, Google is my friend when my curiosity gets piqued, such as regarding the occurrences of FCC actions against pirate radio broadcasting. I had remembered seeing a FCC release about shutting down a rather infamous pirate in the New York City area, sometime in the last year. Turns out the FCC ha...

Re: WXMI Fox 17 Job opening for Meteorologist.
I was watching 17 over the weekend and Laura announced she was leaving the station and thanked West Michigan for inviting her into their lives. Wow… she’s only been there 8 months. Hmmm, okay if I throw out a speculation regarding her next employer? The upcoming Oct. 25th launch of Fox Weather (web...

Re: WTLJ adding 3 subchannels
Hi All, The fact that WTLJ’s broadcast has been absent from the airwaves since about 8:30 last evening (10/11) piqued my curiosity enough that I tracked down a couple of email addresses and sent a message noting they likely are already aware of being off. I received a prompt response from the VP of ...

Re: Let the great subchannel realignment begin
Hi Trophyhead and All, Jason replied quicker than I did, as indeed a couple of weeks ago after COMET had been running on both 3.3 and 15.3 (and the other WXSP follow-alongs), 3.3 switched to give our market TBD. (Wikipedia notes that Sinclair’s backonym for the stylized “TBD.” stands for To Be Disco...
